Without checking, from memory i am fairly certain that John Lennon was murdered on the 8th of December.
Last week was his anniversary.
All the Music magazines have Lennon special editions as the rest of his very last interview has been released.
The interview was done 3 days before he died.
I was in the news agent flicking through one of these magazines and i read this line
"But there will be no smoke bombs, no lipstick, no flashing lights. It just has to be comfy. But we could have a laugh. We're born-again rockers, and we're starting over. ... There's plenty of time, right? Plenty of time."
he was talking about getting back on the road and touring again.
those last 8 words spooked me a little bit, here he is saying there was plenty of time when he only had 3 more days.
Just as i had read this line "Paperback Writer" came on my Ipod. Freaked me out more.
reminded me of an interview with Heath Ledger talking about his new daughter, Matilda.
He said that now he had a child he felt his purpose in life had been fulfilled because he has been passed to a new generation and that he could be ready for death but then said she is the exact reason he didnt want to die.
